The committee organise a range of different events throughout the year. Some are to build community spirit, others aim to raise money and others are to support the school in the organisation of events for the children.
Money raised by the Friends has paid for IT equipment, outdoor benches and seating, new resources for the library, music players, a set of Samba Band instruments and has supported the maths equipment to go into a maths tool kit for home use.
The Friends committee often call for offers of help in the weekly newsletter or on posters around school. You can get involved iin a small way by helping at an event, buying tickets for yourself and friends to their events, making contributions of cakes or other items. Parents are also needed to act as Class Reps to publicise Friends activities.
If you would like to get more involved in the decision making of the Friends Group speak to the Chair or one of the Committee to find out how to join. Members of the committee are usually voted on at the AGM in October.
